Maintaining a properly working sign can save you lots of money in the long run. There are components in most lighted signs that only work properly when they match. as an example, when you change your oil in your car, your supposed to change the oil filter as well. When you don't change the oil filter the clean oil you just put in is going to get dirty faster than it should due to a old and dirty filter. The same rule somewhat applies to the lights in a sign. If half of your sign is out, and its just a few bad lamps, you should replace them all. This way the ballast that's powering those lamps doesn't have an uneven current flowing through the new lamps and old lamps.
